Venice Architecture Biennale

ABA was invited to exhibit at the 2008 Venice Biennale as part of the Australian pavilion’s Abundant Australia exhibition. As part of a broad exhibition celebrating the diversity of contemporary Australian practices, each participant was requested to submit models to be placed onto a 300mm diameter green disc. Our models explored 80 gsm paper as a medium that could capture the scale and figurative detail of the landscape while maintaining the abstraction typical of a large scale site model.
